Refund Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This policy covers subscription charges and one-time credit top-up purchases made through Outrun, all of which are processed by Dodo Payments as our Merchant of Record. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer-protection law of your country of residence.

General Rule

Subscription charges and credit top-up purchases are generally final, and cancelling a subscription (see our Terms of Service) stops future renewal only — it does not, by itself, refund the billing period you already paid for. Unused credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash. This general rule does not override the exceptions below or any statutory right you may have.

Exceptions

We will investigate and, where confirmed, issue a refund or correct your credit balance in these cases:

Dodo Payments' Buyer Terms

Dodo Payments, as Merchant of Record, is the seller of record for your purchase, and its own Buyer Terms separately govern refunds and chargebacks. Under them, refunds are decided by Dodo Payments case by case and there are no refunds on unused subscription periods, which is consistent with the General Rule above. They apply in addition to this policy, and nothing in them limits a right you have by law.

Account Deletion

Deleting your account cancels any active subscription immediately. This stops all future billing, but — like cancelling from your account settings — does not by itself refund the current period or any unused credits, except under the exceptions above.

How to Request a Refund

Contact Outrun support at support@useoutrun.com with the email address on your Outrun account and, if you have it, the date and amount of the charge. We check requests against our own billing and payment records. Because Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record, every refund is issued through Dodo Payments, and only within its refund window — 30 days from the date of payment by default — so please contact us promptly. You can also contact Dodo Payments directly; its Buyer Terms say how.

How Refunds Are Paid

Approved refunds are issued through Dodo Payments to the original payment method, in the currency you originally paid in. If checkout showed the price in your local currency, the refund is made in that currency at the exchange rate on the day of the refund, so the amount you receive can differ slightly from what you paid, and any currency-conversion fee included in the price is not refunded. Funds typically take 5 to 10 business days to settle; how long it takes to reach you depends on your bank or card provider, not on us.

What a Refund Does to Your Credits

When a payment is refunded, the credits that payment granted are removed from your balance. A full refund removes all of them; a partial refund removes the same share of them as the share of the payment that was refunded, and several partial refunds add up without ever removing more than the payment granted.

Credits you have already spent are not given back to you in cash and cannot be un-spent. If you have used some of the credits a payment granted before it is refunded, the removal can take your balance below zero. Your balance is shown as 0, you cannot use credits again until it is above zero, and your next purchase first pays off what you owe before any credits become available to you.

Disputes and Chargebacks

If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, the credits that payment granted are held — taken off your balance — while the dispute is open, because the payment is withdrawn from us at the moment it is opened. If the dispute is decided in our favour or is withdrawn, the held credits are restored. If it is lost, they stay removed. If one payment is both refunded and disputed, the credits it granted are removed once, not twice, and a dispute decided in our favour never restores credits that a refund has already taken back.
